After sanding and buffing the body, AWDCUTLASS creates the wiring and hardware routs and completes the guitar using parts from a Fender Player Series Strat – everything from the pickguard, pickups and tremolo to the neck and tuners.

Defendant in scheme to sell stolen Cisco computer parts pleads guilty
SAN JOSE — A former San Jose resident faces a lengthy prison term and hefty fines after pleading guilty to money laundering and witness tampering in connection with a scheme to sell computer parts stolen from Cisco Systems Inc., federal authorities said.
On Monday, 59-year-old Kenneth Tam pleaded guilty to one count each of money laundering and witness tampering. He could be sentenced to a maximum of 20 years in prison and ordered to pay up to $750,000 in fines.
Prosecutors contend that Tam stole the computer parts between 2006 and 2010, when he worked at Cisco. Tam sold the parts to a co-conspirator, Cuong Cao Dang, for cash, which was deposited into bank accounts owned by a foreign national but controlled by Tam.
According to Tam’s plea agreement, Dang gave Tam a $500,000 check for the parts in February 2010. Tam told Dang to write “loan” on the memo line in order to disguise the true nature of the payment. Then, after Tam learned Dang’s company was being investigated, Tam gave Dang a backdated check for $500,000 to make it appear as though a loan had been repaid.
Tam also told Dang he would lie to Cisco and any investigators about his knowledge and involvement with Dang, according to the plea agreement. He also provided the owner of the bank accounts with a false cover story to use if contacted by investigators.
In October 2017, a grand jury handed down a superseding indictment charging Tam with two counts of witness tampering, as well as one count each of conspiracy to commit mail fraud, money laundering, structuring financial transactions, making a false statement to government agents and contempt.
All but one count each of money laundering and witness tampering will be dropped as long as Tam complies with the terms of the plea agreement, according to prosecutors.
U.S. District Court Judge Edward J. Davila scheduled Tam’s sentencing hearing for May 6.
Dang, for his part, pleaded guilty to his role in the scheme and was sentenced in October 2017 to 90 months in prison to be followed by three years of supervised release.

Teenagers arrested over Carousell scams involving sale of computer parts and gaming PCs – CNA
SINGAPORE: Two teenagers were arrested on Tuesday (Aug 4) for allegedly cheating Carousell customers of more than S$5,000.
The police said they received several reports between March and July from victims who said they were cheated when purchasing computer parts and “high-end” gaming personal computers on Carousell.
Officers from the Commercial Affairs Department identified the two teenagers after investigations and through collaboration with Carousell.
Preliminary investigations found that the pair is believed to have cheated more than 10 victims of more than S$5,000, the police said.
Police investigations are ongoing. If found guilty of cheating, they face up to 10 years’ jail and a fine.
The police advised members of the public to exercise caution when making online purchases.
They should opt for buyer protection by using in-built payment options that release payment to the seller only upon delivery. Whenever possible, buyers should also avoid making advance payments or direct bank transfers to the seller.

O’Scanlon told MMM that he is uncertain if Governor Phil Murphy will make a specific announcement regarding computer repair shops, but that he has been assured that they are covered in the Executive Order that allows essential services to continue to operate.

Indictment: Former NKY mayor and fire chief stole thousands, bought gaming computer parts
BROMLEY, KY (FOX19) – Our media partners at the Cincinnati Enquirer report that a former elected official and fire chief of a Northern Kentucky city has been indicted on charges stemming from his alleged theft of public funds.
Donald Lee Jobe, the former city of Bromley mayor and top firefighter, faces charges of abuse of public trust for stealing up to $10,000, as well as tampering with evidence and public records, theft by deception, theft by failure to make required disposition and fraudulent use of a credit card.
* He purchased machine parts claiming it was for a city tractor, but investigators found the parts were only for Honda and Ford vehicles. Jobe owns both types of vehicles. When asked about the Honda parts, Jobe said he’d purchased those for his vehicle but had mistakenly submitted it as a public expense.
* After another elected official asked Jobe about a $1,200 purchase on the city’s credit card, Jobe allegedly deposited $1,500 into the city’s account and asked the elected official if they were “good now.”
* Jobe also allegedly used public money to make purchases for remodeling at his house and concocted a story about a man named “AJ Alan” who had performed electrical work at a city building. But when investigators looked into the $2,200 expense, they found no AJ Alan worked at the electrical company Jobe listed.
Jobe had resigned as mayor in August 2017, about six months after search warrants were executed at his home. But Jobe remained in his position as the city’s fire chief until his arrest in October 2018.

Former Bromley mayor allegedly stole thousands, bought gaming computer parts

A former elected official and fire chief of a Northern Kentucky city has been indicted on charges stemming from his alleged theft of public funds.
Donald Lee Jobe, the former city of Bromley mayor and top firefighter, faces charges of abuse of public trust for stealing up to $10,000, as well as tampering with evidence and public records, theft by deception, theft by failure to make required disposition and fraudulent use of a credit card.
The Kenton County Commonwealth’s Attorney Office announced the indictment Saturday in a statement.
The court documents allege:
* Jobe purchased computer parts that he claimed he would use to build a city computer. Instead, investigators found the parts had been used for Jobe’s gaming computer.
* He allegedly fabricated a story about the auditor telling him to seek $3,000 in city funds for his use as “petty cash.”
* He purchased machine parts claiming it was for a city tractor, but investigators found the parts were only for Honda and Ford vehicles. Jobe owns both types of vehicles. When asked about the Honda parts, Jobe said he’d purchased those for his vehicle but had mistakenly submitted it as a public expense.

During the investigation, authorities could not find receipts submitted by Jobe from a four-month span in 2016. The records were discovered in a safe in the mayor’s office.
Investigators concluded “Jobe removed the records in an effort to impair their availability to any investigation into Jobe’s use of city funds for personal enrichment or gain.”
